The Role

This is a full-time role for a Head of Sales and Accounts located in Tokyo for someone who loves the media and tech business. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing and leading the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, managing data-related technical requirements, and improving customer relationships. You will work closely with the product and marketing team to identify new market opportunities and deliver innovative features in the market.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for sales (both new sales and account management) in Japan as the primary focus and in Asia as the secondary target
  • Lead the commercial and strategic roadmap for the sales and marketing of the Streamhub services, including the implementation of processes and organisational changes to achieve targets in Japan
  • Develop sales processes, targets and proposals that accurately captures therequirements and needs of the customers, both for new proposals and upsells
  • Manage the enterprise customer account technical requirements and relationships to maintain customer satisfcation for contract renewals and upsells
  • Manage the sales team and partnership channels including strong target management, incentive schemes and partnership programmes
  • Work closely with the product team internally to manage and develop the requirements as well as coordinating releases to customers
  • Raise awareness of Streamhub’s offering across industry bodies, executives within media organisations and within the trade media through planned PR and marketing events
  • Develop and advocate your vision for the Japanese / Asian business to innovate and change the measurement / advertising industry positively
  • Supervise the development of marketing plans and support its execution to increase our awareness and reputation targeted towards target executives including periodic content creation
  • Deliver sales KPIs quarterly

Who you are (Qualifications/Experience):

  • You are self-motivated and have a strong entrepreneurial mindset with experience in the media or advertising or measurement/data industry
  • Over 10 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales and managing key technical accounts related to audience measurement, analytics products or ad tech / research products.
  • Deep knowledge of the media industry with relationships at broadcasters, platforms, research agencies
  • Proven track record of sales and implementation of both simple and complex solutions with a strong level of understanding of data ecosystems and key technologies
  • Strong presentation and sales skills
  • Outstanding skills at initiating, managing and growing strategic relationships with third parties, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Passionate about the media, advertising and measurement markets
  • Experience in working in startups and understand its commitment and rewards
  • Be fully bilingual (Japanese, English) to be able to carry out day-to-day verbal communications in both languages
  • You must be able to have permanent working status in Japan

Package:

  • base salary: 10,000,000 JPY
  • bonus: up to 5,000,000JPY sales commission bonus
